Comments: I sold both my Jazz basses when I heard one of these. The model was an SMB 1000, although these only pop up as Stagemaster Imperial. I modified mine by shaving off the body (potato chip cut), revarnishing it, using Dimarzio pickups, and running the strings through the body. I pawned it in Reno 1998 when I was broke and had to nuse a 5 string on the gig, but would love to have it back. The only hassle with it was it went way flat in the cold, and you had to retune after the first song. It's on the first song of my website: www,paupur.com
